FAQs

Why use Check-in Tags?

The NFC (Near Field Communication) Check-in Tags provide a more secure way of clocking in and out than using barcodes or geolocation. The tag requires the cleaner to be on site and physically close to the tag to clock in. Plus, it's really simple to use!

Can anyone use the Tags?

To use the Check-in Tags for your company, you must be a Clean Smarts Expert Tier customer. Check-in Tag features, along with other tools and features, are available with Expert Tier.

How do I use the Tag?

Once you have placed the tag on a wall or other surface at your location, you can use the Clean Smarts app to register the tag to that specific location. Cleaners will now be able to check in and verify that they are on site by using the tag.

How do my cleaners use the Tag?

To clock in or out, the cleaner simply has to open the Clean Smarts app and open their shift page. Then they can hold their phone up close to the tag. The phone will recognize the NFC tag and verify that it is registered to that specific location for that shift.

Where can I place the Tag?

You can place the tag on any smooth, non-metal surface. Metal may interfere with the electromagnetic fields that are essential for communication between the phone and the NFC tag. Also, be aware that the adhesive may peel off paint when removed.
